First, I just want to state for the record that I’m not crying, I just have something in my eye…and that something is liquid joy. I’m so happy to hear that Community is finally coming back after weeks of uncertainty, during which time I was pretty much just doing this every day. Entertainment Weekly reported today that NBC will put Community back at its 8 pm time slot (having seen the same anemic ratings for 30 Rock in that block for the last few weeks) starting Thursday, March 15th. The new schedule isn’t perfect, but it’s still “streets ahead” of a Community-free Thursday night lineup. Thank you, universe for returning my favorite comedy to my television! Now, how’s that season 4 pickup coming?

This season of Fringe is on a serious roll right now! It’s tough to keep the magic alive halfway through your fourth season, but Fringe is doing it hard core, and I am loving it! Let’s dive into this past week’s episode, shall we?

When we last left off, Olivia was trying to seduce Peter, who has been playing hard to get because he still isn’t sold on the fact that she has now merged consciousnesses with his Olivia. He seems understandably wary, like he thinks this might be a trap designed to test him, to see if he’ll just sleep with any Olivia that claims to remember all their time together. Afterwards, Olivia regressed to her normal rebooted self, and played it off like it was no big thing.

Then we met this kid, who was either having a telepathic episode, or acting out a scene from Titanic.

Turns out his brain was tuning in to a crime in progress: a group of frat boys who so rudely broke into this guy’s house just to murder him and probably steal his beer. (Note the blue gloves—“Two by two, hands of blue”!)

Poor Polo. He did kinda seem like a tool though. But who cares, because GUESS WHO’S BACK?!

Walter was making friends with the patients at the mental hospital, and Olivia was having flashes of the first day when she and Peter went to St. Claire’s to get Walter. Hooray for flashbacks!

Confused by the flood of memories from the other Olivia’s life, Olivia decided the only way to figure out what was going on with her was to go have sex with Peter. Just kidding, she just wanted to check out Peter’s place and prove that remembered stuff.

But Peter still wasn’t convinced, so he had Walter run some brain tests on Olivia and her shiny new memories (which came with a new spring in her step and a bold attitude that I have really missed from our Olivia).

Okay, so I may have slightly exaggerated the level of sexual tension in this scene (but then again maybe not). I just couldn’t help it. The three (four? Are we counting Olivia as two?) of them are just so adorable that I couldn’t help but wish they would all just have a big group hug (clothing optional, of course).

Oh, also, apparently something important to the plot happened in this scene, but whatever, I was too busy imagining various scenarios in which Peter, Olivia, and Lincoln have brunch and go furniture shopping together. But somehow Olivia and Lincoln ended up going to see not-crazy guy’s mother.

How cute was Lincoln jotting down notes in his little notebook? He’s like Steve from Blue’s Clues, but he probably looks way better in a striped rugby shirt.

So then we got a seemingly random shot of an old guy watching the news (shocking, I know). But seriously, I just assumed that all nursing homes aired reruns of NCIS like 24/7.

Was that guy the most morbid nursing home attendant ever, or what? I thought it was like an unwritten rule that you don’t talk about death in a nursing home? Unless it’s in relation to NCIS. Then it’s totally okay.

Since Astrid has the best bedside manner of anyone on the show, she got to babysit schizo boy while he detoxed from his meds. Maybe it’s just Astrid’s natural charm, but there was definitely some chemistry between her and Sean.

Back at the lab, Peter and Olivia were still being awkward but adorable around each other, while Walter glared disapprovingly from behind his Bunsen burner. Apparently he blames Peter for influencing Olivia’s memories. Sure. Because if you could make something happen just by wanting it badly enough, this would be the first we’d have seen of it…

Hey! It’s that old guy again! I guess he’s actually relevant to the story line or something.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. As soon as Walter uttered the words, “Take me to the bridge,” I couldn’t stop imagining Lincoln singing “Sexy Back.” (He and Justin Timberlake look like they could be related, right?)

Finally Walter is onto Nina and her evilness. He found the traces of Cortexiphan in Olivia’s blood. Time for a Walter/Nina faceoff!

Olivia and Peter were off checking the sketchy storage units for important evidence or something, but mostly just discussing how weird their whole situation is.

Pshh, these guys thought they could take on Olivia Dunham. You guys don’t even have any special powers! Unless you count high cheekbones and blank stares as “special.” I loved the part where Peter saved Olivia from getting hit by the car. The freak squad weren’t done with their murderous rampage though…

More importantly, Peter and Olivia talked about the recent revelation that she isn’t just absorbing memories from Peter because he misses his Olivia. Peter was still hesitant because, as he told Olivia, he’d already betrayed her once by sleeping with a different version of her. (Wouldn’t this Olivia now have the horrible memories of that experience?) You know what they say: Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, I’m just a manwhore.

Lincoln was still chaperoning Walter and Nina’s metaphorical staring contest, which was about as awesome as I’d hoped it would be.

Ha! Nothing gets past Walter. I mean, come on—the guy will eat custard out of a test tube, what makes you think he’s not going to chug your fake Cortexiphan? Nice try, Nina.

Peter was getting bored waiting in the car for Olivia to get back from using the gas station restroom.

AWESOME. Great stuff you guys. So is the real Nina actually super nice and just been trapped in a cellar for the whole season? Is Fake-Nina gonna go all Rambo on Walter and Lincoln since they’ve found out about the missing Cortexiphan? Why doesn’t Astrid have a boyfriend? (I’m totally rooting for Sean and her to get together.) Will Lincoln and Peter work together to save Olivia, only to have her ultimately save herself with her BAMFness? Man, I hope so. Juliet is a scheme artist and Siobhan crosses paths with Andrew. It was another week of surprises on Ringer. Check out the photo recap of last Tuesday’s episode.

Bridget meets with Solomon to visit the places Siobhan often went, and discovers her sister’s secret office.

Siobhan fabricates a story of switching lives with her sister to protect Bridget. Of course, Henry believes her.

At the Martin residence, the lawyer preps Juliet for her testimony in court.

Andrew’s business partner, Olivia, bluntly tells Henry she wants Gemma’s father to invest with Martin/Charles.

Bridget’s search takes her to a bookstore/coffee shop where she learns Siobhan never forgave her for what happened to Sean.

Henry arranges to meet with his father-in-law, Tim Arbogast, played by Gregory Harrison.

Now, that Henry has Siobhan back, they make up for lost time.

Tessa confesses to Juliet that she lied about being raped by Mr. Carpenter, which Andrea overhears.

Siobhan returns to the Martin resident to retrieve a key Bridget took from the secret office. Shortly before leaving, Siobhan encounters Andrew.

It was a ploy! Mr. Carpenter, Juliet, and Tessa lied about the rape so that Andrew would settle the defamation suit, awarding the three with millions.

Before she returns to Paris, Siobhan has Henry listen to a recording that will supposedly expose Andrew’s firm of corruption.

Will Henry tell Tim Arbogast to pull out his money? What will Juliet do with her portion of the settlement? Will Andrew lose his firm after Siobhan releases the incriminating evidence against Martin/Charles?

So many questions which only the Ringer writers can answer. Watch an all new episode this week, February 21.
