‘Party Down’ Movie On Its Way, Rob Thomas Says (Huffington Post)

In this article from the Huffington Post, Rob Thomas gave us hope for the next best thing to a Veronica Mars movie: a movie adaptation for the short-lived, under-appreciated Starz comedy Party Down, which aired for two seasons from 2009-2010, and included a fair share of Veronica Mars alumni. Ryan Hansen (Dick Casablancas), Ken Marino (Vinnie Van Lowe), and Adam Scott (who played a sleazy teacher in season 1) were all regular cast members on Party Down, and the show featured guest stars like Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, and some other familiar faces from Veronica Mars. If you didn’t catch the show when it was on, I highly recommend you watch it now. Both seasons are on sale on Amazon right now for under $10. Personally, I’m hoping the Party Down movie is just a front for a Veronica Mars movie so Rob Thomas and the crew can pull it off without Warner Bros. knowing what’s going on.
