Film Friday: Lion King in 3D

Want to view a classic Disney film on the big screen?
Today, Disney’s The Lion King 3D hits theaters.
I’ll be the first to admit that I am not a fan of the 3D craze but there is no way I can say no to Simba. I hear that “Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba” and I turn into a five year old child. I sing along to the songs and my heart breaks when Simba loses his father. The Lion King strays away from the prince and princess love story typically found in older Disney films. Instead, The Lion King is a story about a son’s journey of self-discovery and his return to become King. It’s a great film for all ages. So put on those 3D glasses and sing “Hakuna Matata” because it WILL solve all your problems.

Will you go out this weekend to watch The Lion King in 3D? What Disney film would you like to see return to theaters?
