‘Hunger Games’ Trailer Released: Have You Started Breathing Again Yet?
This morning on Good Morning America, Josh Hutcherson presented the first full-length trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of the bestselling young adult series The Hunger Games. And it was glorious.
Granted, I’ve been waiting for this moment for approximately three years, so Lionsgate probably could have just shown two and a half minutes of the Everdeens’ ugly cat Buttercup and I still would’ve been in tears. Luckily, they didn’t. They did, however, only show footage from the first half of the film, which I think was a very wise decision. There are some moments from The Hunger Games that just have to be preserved for the theater. They did a great job of giving the feel of the film, though, and there was plenty of action in it to give a sense of the intensity of the Games, even if we didn’t see much of them. Personally, I was just thrilled to see the characters brought to life. Is anyone still doubting Josh Hutcherson’s ability to play Peeta? What did you think, fellow Hunger Games fans? Did they give you enough? Too much? How concerned were you by Haymitch’s hair? Where do you stand as of now on Lenny Kravitz as Cinna?
