I Miss Life Unexpected

Do you have a TV show/film that serves as your kryptonite? Every time it comes on, you can’t walk away. You are enslaved by its power and you become vulnerable.

That is the effect Life Unexpected has on me. The show tells the story of a teenager who reunites with her birth parents after being in the foster care system for sixteen years. Her parents are in their early thirties and still trying to figure out their own lives, but they take her in and together, they learn how to become a family. Do you feel your heart warming up already?

The series is quite short (only 26 episodes) but it has a proper finale. It has some standard CW story lines (ahem Mr. Daniels), but at its core, it is a show with a big heart and endless cuteness. Hopefully, you fall in love with this family as much as I have.

Louise recently gave me the entire series on DVD so I can re-live all of the tear worthy and adorable moments- like this one:

Gets me every time.
