Thank you for existing! You are an amazing friend and even more amazing human being. I don’t know what cosmic deal was made for us to reconnect in college after so many years apart but I’m grateful for it. Today is special because it is your birthday. It’s your day! LOUISE DAY!
In my opinion, there should be more Louise days throughout the year because you rock. Here are just some examples of how you make everything cool.
For some, June 22 is any other day but at popculturenexus.com, June 22 is BIG day. It’s Meryl Streep’s birthday!!!!!!
So, how do you celebrate the day the world was given one of the most talented actors to have ever lived? Do you have a Meryl movie marathon? Do you listen to the Mamma Mia! soundtrack on repeat? I guess it doesn’t really matter what you do as long as you do it with passion because that’s what makes Meryl so astounding. Whether she is rafting down the Salmon River or ruthlessly leading a fashion magazine, Meryl breathes life into each character she portrays because she is passionate about her craft. Her passion is palpable on the screen which makes it easy to believe her relationships with other characters. To celebrate Meryl’s birthday, we decided to look at one of her greatest love stories, Out of Africa (1985).
She once had a farm in Africa but we still have 20 feels we can’t get over.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
Okay, so it’s really Anna Torv’s birthday but we decided to take this opportunity and throw Olivia a party. And, let’s face it…we just want to bring the Fringe fans together again because we miss each other.
We all know Olivia is a minimalist but today we are going to shower her with lots of gifts, both practical and impractical stuff. Perhaps you want to give her a pet rock or a pink rhinestone covered knit hat. It doesn’t matter. She can’t say no! Share your gift for the most badass Fringe agent in the comments section, and remember to be creative and ALWAYS have fun.
Possible gift ideas:

Pop Culture Nexus is officially a year old!
The site has changed so much since it launched on September 9, 2011, (Check out our Welcome Post) but our commitment to delivering fun pop culture content has not changed. The support we have received on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and our posts has been overwhelming. We wish we could give everyone a high five personally but airfare would get really expensive.
Please know that we are eternally grateful for your friendship and we continue to develop Pop Culture Nexus so it is an entertaining place to visit. We hope you stick around for year two!

It’s July 31st! You know what that means… It’s Harry Potter’s birthday! So raise a goblet of pumpkin juice to our favorite boy wizard on the anniversary of the day he was born, and the day he crawled out from the cupboard under the stairs and into our hearts.
Also celebrating a birthday today is the ever-underrated Neville Longbottom!
And of course, how could we forget the master herself, J.K. Rowling! She and Harry share the same birthday, so happy birthday to the brilliant woman who was essentially responsible for my childhood!
To celebrate, I’m eating cake and wearing one of my many Harry Potter t-shirts. What are you doing to commemorate this most wonderful of birthdays? Let us know in the comments section, or tweet us @PopCultureNexus!
